Long time ago the cops were considered the devtas but now they are the infamous uniformed asurs. With their iconic potbellies and paan in their mouth you will find them on every chauraha
doing their so called 'regular' checkings. Their ancestors followed the
Gandhian principles but now the only way they are connected to the
Father of Nation is through the notes they recover from faulty
motorists. Their 'tariff' list varies from people to people and mistakes
to mistakes (cardinal sins from their point of view). While most of them
charge Rs. 100 for driving sans helmets and sans seat belts, Rs. 200
tripling and Rs. 500 for driving without license. Some insatiable cops
even settle for Rs.50 or less just for the sake of some extra income.
The afsar class is even more machiavellian as they prefer extorting money from rich brats for sweeping the evidences under the carpet or by quietly putting the file in the 'NO FUTURE' cabinet.
The above mentioned categories of cops are also the chamcha of their seniors. They may be the laziest of all but the very sight of their sahebs makes them as agile as a monkey. It seems that all of them have been inspired by the song Baap bada na bhaiya... sabse
bada rupaiya.
With the country progressing it is the need of the hour that the constabulary of our nation is transmuted as they are the limb of the law but their dishonesty has made the already blind law sans legs.....sans hands.
